What a seed phrase actually is
A seed phrase is not a password to your wallet. It is your wallet — the complete mathematical key from which every address and every signing key derives. Whoever holds the phrase holds the funds, from any device, forever.
That's why it cannot be reset, why no legitimate service stores it for you, and why “verify your wallet by entering your recovery phrase” is the single most common crypto theft in existence.
What connecting a wallet actually shares
Connecting a wallet to a site like Tadswap shares your public address only. It cannot move funds. Every transaction still requires your signature, in your wallet, every time — the connection is a business card, not a signature stamp.
If any site's “connect” flow asks you to type words from your recovery phrase, close the tab. That is not a connect flow; it is a phishing page.
The rule, and the exceptions to it
The rule: your seed phrase goes into your wallet app during setup or recovery, written from the paper you keep — and nowhere else, ever. There are no exceptions. Not support, not “validation”, not an airdrop, not a Tadswap employee, because Tadswap has no way to use it and will never ask.
