Prepare the destination before checkout
Decide where the purchased crypto should arrive before entering payment details. That can be a self-custody wallet or another compatible destination. Select the exact asset and network, then copy the receiving address carefully from that wallet.
The address and network are not a casual preference. Sending an asset on the wrong network can make recovery difficult or impossible. If a wallet displays several choices for the same ticker, match the network shown in the purchase flow exactly.
Read the payment-provider checkout
A card checkout should make the payment amount, crypto amount, applicable fees or rate, wallet address, and provider responsible for the transaction clear before you submit. If details differ from what you selected, stop and correct them before paying.
A provider may ask for verification or decline a transaction under its own policies. That is not something a swap interface can override. Use only your own payment method and provide information directly in the legitimate provider checkout, never through a support message or social-media link.
Expect processing, not instant settlement
Card authorization, payment review, and the blockchain payout are separate events. The crypto may not arrive the moment a card screen says approved. Keep the order or status reference until the payout transaction is confirmed.
Do not send a second payment simply because the wallet does not update immediately. Check the provider's order status and the blockchain transaction first. Duplicate payments and rushed support decisions create avoidable problems.
Protect both your card and your wallet
A legitimate card provider may need payment and verification information, but no legitimate provider needs your wallet seed phrase or private key. Those secrets never belong in a purchase checkout.
